In 1995, Bob Joyce began making dining room tables and custom furniture in Gap Mills, West Virginia. His respect for real wood and careful workmanship became the standard for everything that followed.

As the business grew and family life changed, Bob began partnering with small, family-owned furniture shops whose quality, craftsmanship, and values reflected his own. In 2025, Family Heirloom Furniture relocated to Fincastle, Virginia, where Bob began passing the lessons learned over three decades to his son and the next generation of their family.
